- Salary Range: up to $71,400
- Hours: 8am - 5pm
Under general supervision, works both independently and as part of a team to support Manufacturing to troubleshoot and address issues related to raw materials, formulations, and processes. Will carry out trials and experiments in Manufacturing and in the lab to determine the root cause of manufacturing problems. Involved with generating invention records leading to the patenting of new materials, formulations and processing technology suitable for golf balls and related products. Presents and communicates findings to R&D and Operations. Conducts research of new formulations in the construction and design of golf balls.
BS or BA in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering required, polymer focus preferred. 1 to 3 years experience in research or manufacturing preferred. Some experience with thermoplastic materials, injection molding, compression molding, and extrusion mixing preferred. Must be able to work in laboratory and manufacturing environment. Must have an understanding of basic statistics. Must not be adversely affected by materials or chemicals in a laboratory, manufacturing or golf course environment. Must be able to work extended hours, occasionally on short notice. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
