Assist with the design and integration of network-connected technology used to monitor and control test equipment. Develop and implement software, writing custom code and/or integrating 3rd party applications, required for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of test devices. Create or source software required for the operation of R&D test equipment. This will include participation in the design/build/integration of network-connected test equipment. Troubleshoot existing applications and conduct system maintenance with a goal of ZERO (unscheduled) DOWNTIME. This will often be a collaborative effort with the hardware design and maintenance staff. Participate with the creation and execution of preventative maintenance and/or generational replacement strategies for both software and hardware in test systems. Evaluate end user functionality of test systems and develop requirements for improved or new systems. Investigate 3rd party software and identified hardware for application and compatibility with Titleist systems. Participate with departmental efforts to expand and improve the operation and use of CLUBHOUSE. As identified, create invention records with a purpose of retaining and broadening our Freedom to Operate within golf ball design, manufacturing and testing.
Qualifications: BS in Engineering or Automation Control with an emphasis on mathematics and physics. Most preferred candidates will have advanced degree or completed course work in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering disciplines. Continuing course work, certification, or formalized training with emerging software applications strongly desirable.
Required: 3 years experience working within an Engineering environment designing and developing applications in Microsoft Visual Studio with use of IDE and Debugger. Experience with integrating network-connected devices for motion control. Demonstrated object oriented programming skills primarily C#, .NET, VB, and WPF. Experience connecting to digital and analog hardware through APIs or SDKs, such as National Instruments Measurement Studio, serial, USB, and TCP/IP.
Preferred: Working knowledge of machine vision systems and image analysis tools and software. Working knowledge of automation system platforms including HMI, PLC, SCADA and other applicable systems. Experience with Labview, Matlab.
Must pass Health Services screening, including accurate color vision. Must not be adversely affected by chemicals in a laboratory, golf ball manufacturing or golf course environment. Must be capable of listing 40 pounds and able to travel locally daily. Must be able to travel overnight, occasionally on short notice.
