The FJ Field Marketing Specialist will drive brand-specific support initiatives throughout the year in the New York Territory. These initiatives will include, but not be limited to, management and execution of FJ fitting events, in-store merchandising support, trade education seminars and tournament administration. Manage and execute FJ Fitting events at on course golf shops (primarily) throughout the local region. In collaboration with local golf professional, carefully select with optimal location for each event (range, adjacent to shop, inside clubhouse). Professionally fit golfers, make recommendation of both size AND performance (via FJ Performance Fitting System). Generate and enter product orders against live availability. Regularly communicate results to local FJ Sales Representative and FJ Management. Conduct regular merchandising visits to key off course golf specialty stores, primary on course accounts. Ensure the brand and product is represented according to leadership standard. Record inventory counts on gloves and footwear, reporting those results to local FJ Sales and FJ Management. As required, provide education seminars for staff. Provide on-site tournament support to local/regional FJ Sales team. Manage the presentation and distribution of FJ products. Process any special order needs for products not available to participants. Special projects, as required by FJ Marketing management and/or local Sales Director. These may include brand representation at TPC events, major shop-in-shop installations, coverage at club “trunk shows”, etc
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of three years experience working in the golf business (customer service, golf shop operations, etc.). Ability to drive Ford Sprinter van. Ability to physically set up brand merchandising and product presentations for fitting and/or tournaments. Overnight travel required, as necessary. Fitting of shoes requires extended periods of time bending and kneeling. This position requires the associate have and maintain a valid drivers license as well as follow all DOT rules and regulations. Excellent presentation skills. Confident, yet humble delivery & approach. Strong organization and communication skills. Passion for the game of golf. Golf experience: competitive skill level (single digit handicap desired). Must be able to work weekends and nights as needed and during the peak season of spring and summer months. Extensive travel required, up to 100 nights.
