Inventory Control / Warehouse Supervisor*

Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to warehouse staff in the Inventory Control department. Support and administer operational goals as well as monitor achievements of performance. Coordinate all receiving and storage activities while maintaining a safe, well organized, productive warehouse. Promote activities to improve inventory flow and utilization of available storage. Manage cycle count procedures and physical inventory process to comply with Acushnet Company financial control requirements. Maintain reports on cycle counting variances and investigate reasons for variances. Use root cause analysis to develop and implement corrective measures to minimize inventory adjustments. Collaborate with offsite facilities to insure inventory accuracy of intermediate goods and raw materials from “In Bound” receiving and “Out Bound” transfers. Be the subject matter expert on M3 and LWM system solutions to help troubleshoot issues on an adhoc basis. Facilitate training and on-boarding of new associates.

Continuously review and prioritize workloads based on scheduling and manufacturing demands. Clearly communicate expectations. Coach employees to execute efficient and appropriate inventory control procedures. Interface with associates, administrators and management to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction with quality results. Collaborate with the Production and Inventory Control Manager to recommend staffing revisions based on seasonal demands. Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities. Manage associate performance and respond accordingly to disciplinary actions.  Plan and schedule all cycle count events for Facility inventory. Assist in preparation and running of physical inventory events.  Receive raw material purchase orders and supervise receiving of all other product types. Insure inventory being received is in good order.  Conduct weekly audits to validate accuracy and report on results. Maintain historical data in work book to be used for trend analysis.  Execute and document Finished Good and intermediate product downgrades and destroy process’s as required while providing monthly reporting metrics on inventory.  Responsible for training and certification for all warehouse direct reports. Maintain and update Inventory Control Procedural/Training Manuals for accuracy.  Maintain a safe and well organized warehouse. Conduct daily walk-throughs to insure warehouse housekeeping tasks are being followed. Review utilization of available storage space and instruct associates how to consolidate inventory to save on space.  Other duties as assigned including but not limited to M3 ERP system maintenance, application testing, and system upgrades.


The eligible candidate will be required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Supply Chain/Inventory Management focus. A required minimum of 2 years warehousing and inventory control experience in a leadership capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong mathematical aptitude and problem solving abilities. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment. Lift up to 35 pounds, stand for periods of time, able to climb stairs and ladders. Capable of passing a vision screen and meet minimum requirements for forklift certification.  Computer proficient. Experience with email communication.  Must be knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Excel.  Experience working with an ERP system and associated inventory transaction concepts.
