- Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm
In this hourly position, you will be responsible for providing direction to hourly maintenance personnel, coordinating maintenance activities on all shifts, and responsible for performing daily maintenance duties as an individual contributor. Daily maintenance duties may include independently troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding all types of complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatically controlled production equipment. Mentor, guide, and train maintenance personnel as needed. Support all production, facilities and engineering operations as needed. Coordinate assignment and schedule of repairs, PM’s, and projects for the maintenance department, review work items, and set priorities. Specify and order parts as needed while maintaining the spare parts inventory process and compliance with the organization of parts and tools. Communicate with management as needed to address task-related or personnel issues that occur during the shifts. Comply with all company rules, regulations and policies. Maintain safety and continuous improvement.
Education: Five years’ experience as an Electrical Mechanical Specialist required with an approved technical Associate’s Degree, or candidates with an approved technical college level certificate in an Electrical/Electronic Discipline and the required years as an EMS will also be considered.
Special Credentials/Skills: Demonstrated ability to install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain machinery and equipment. Formal electronic training on AC/DC circuits. Formal PLC training- basic overview of PLC function, communications, working knowledge of mechanical systems, and instrumentation & controls experience. Working knowledge and use of safe work practices including Lock Out-Tag Out and NFPA – 70E.
Proven experience leading or supervising associates. Ability to provide direction and coordinate maintenance operation. Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes experience. Must have demonstrated successful ability to lead teams and/or groups of individuals and work effectively with others. Must have history of involvement in training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Must have effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities/ tasks and be able to follow manufacturing, equipment and product specifications. Flexibility to work off-shift hours if needed. Required to have own trade related tools to perform required tasks and demonstrated ability to install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain machinery and equipment. Must pass all Health Services screens and have acceptable disciplinary history.
