Lead the raw material supply chain processes; including raw material forecasting, supply planning (MRP) and inventory accuracy/control. Owner of all raw material planning parameters inside ERP system . Responsible for the management of inventory levels and purchases of all raw material purchases ($100 million in annual spend)and supplier delivery schedules; responsible for all supplier communication related to raw materials planning. Lead / participate in projects that improve raw material inventory accuracy and the effectiveness of using ERP MRP as the primary planning tool. Provide planning guidance and ERP MRP training assistance to Acushnet (Titleist) Thailand. Also provide assistance to the ball plants in improving physical materials management processes. Provide professional development guidance and work direction to direct reports. Evaluate current raw material supply chain model and recommend opportunities for improvement/optimization to senior supply chain and operations management. Conduct materials planning parameter optimization analysis. Identify and improve accuracy of bills of materials and product structures. Proactively manage raw material supply chain to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. Develop and maintain end-of-life strategies for raw materials and packaging. Drive improvements in materials planning and management processes by identifying and implementing relevant KPI’s, create data and statistics to develop appropriate status and performance communication tools, analyze data, and maintain inventory accuracy reports. Key participant in supplier relationship management cross-functional teams including sourcing and quality departments. Also provide assistance to the ball plants in projects related to improving physical materials management processes. All other company related tasks assigned by manager.
Education: BS degree in Business Management, Operations or Supply Chain Planning. MBA preferred. APICS or CPIM certification a plus.
Experience: 8 years experience in Supply Chain, with at least 5 years in Supply Planning for a multi-site manufacturing network.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Requires high level data analysis skills, utilizing MS Excel as a tool. Thorough knowledge of MRP/ERP practices and principles. Attention to detail and problem solving skills are necessary. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills. Must have strong written, analytical and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization. Must be customer oriented (internal and external).
