Senior Designer Digital Marketing*

Location: Fairhaven, MA

  • Salary Range: up to $89,985
  • Hours: 8am - 5pm


The Digital Design Lead will be responsible for the design and management of all digital internal creative needs, including but not limited to: website design / content, digital banners, emails content, social media assets. His/her main responsibility is the creation and delivery of a range of cross-platform digital works, consistently looking to elevate the brand in the eye of our core consumers & creating inspiring and engaging stories / content, in collaboration with marketing teams.  This is a hands-on design role and will be responsible for the overall concept and execution of digital assets to meet the growing content needs of the FJ brand. Critical to this role is to bring to life the brand digitally with speed and conviction, whilst maintaining high standards for original concepts and detailed execution. He/she must have a passion for making exceptional ground breaking digital work in a fast paced environment.

Digital Design Asset Creation & Key Creative Project Leadership: Design of digital assets including email templates, social media creative, digital media display advertising, website template and content design across multiple sites. Lead projects such as site redesigns, brand campaign creative or UX updates. Create and present proof-of-concept & designs for big-picture projects. Play an active role in the full project lifecycle from brief and pitch to usability and build. Work collaboratively with Marketing, UX or Developers to deliver digital output of the highest quality and to brief. Create, maintain and adhere to a digital style guide.

Digital Creative Optimization: Incorporate analytical performance data as it relates to how different creatives are performing, and optimizing based upon such results. Generate new and original visual campaign executions that are both exciting and elevating the FJ brand in the marketplace. Push the limits of digital design and elevate the brand’s digital look and feel / messaging.

Digital Design Thought Leadership: Stay up to date with emerging digital and design trends, studying new media formats to determine how to best incorporate them into new campaigns. Ensure UX and brand best practices are upheld through all digital touch points. Research of relevant creative advertising trends in the market.

Contractor Management & Agency Support: As required, manage and mentor external design contractors and agency partners to ensure exceptional results with on-time, on-strategy deliverables. Participate in brand photo shoots and agency planning to ensure that digital requirements are met / being captured.


A Bachelor’s degree: Art/Design/Communications fields preferred. 7+ years of website design / digital content experience within an agency or corporate environment. Affinity for using research and consumer data to inform creative decision-making. Proven ability to work as part of a team and operate with a service-oriented mentality. Must possess strong leadership skills and experiences On the cutting edge of latest trends and best practices and incorporate consumer centric thinking. A resourceful problem solver with a positive attitude. Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (this could include Flash, After Effects and Illustrator). Demonstration and understanding of responsive web design. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is plus Outstanding project and process management skills.
