Prepare product cost, proforma, target pricing and other analyses, maintain current standard costs and cost related areas of PLM, with a minimum level of supervision. Successful execution in this role will improve the tracking and transparency of footwear related costs for all global markets, leading to improved cost negotiations with suppliers, resulting in improved footwear margins. Perform material, component, technology and productivity analysis to propose innovative solutions during the development process, to improve cost and margin. Manage cost related information in PLM to ensure internal stakeholders have access to latest data to make informed design, development and pricing decisions. Manage development, prototype and sample costing to anticipate and resolve concerns. Assist in the review of existing suppliers and the identification of new vendors and sourcing partners. Maintain and distribute product-costing files and reports, including PPV and vendor scorecards. Maintain communication records to assure smooth work flow, timely approval and problem resolution.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in footwear costing. Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies. Excellent mathematical, analytical, time management and organizational skills required. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including partners in Taiwan and China. This position requires extensive travel, including trips to Sales Meetings, Trade Shows and Asia. Demonstrated expertise with various software including; PLM, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access). Experience with Infor M3, Qlik and Cognos report use is preferred.
