The Senior IT Project Manager furthers continuous improvement and accomplishes business objectives by evaluating, planning, and managing project activities. Leads efforts related to planning, execution, and delivery of all projects – on time, in budget, and within scope according to business priorities. Manage internal and external (vendor) resources in a matrixed or direct mode within a distributed environment. Facilitate and negotiate with vendors and approve vendor deliverables. Track and manage requirements during the project lifecycle; incorporate changes to requirements through an established change management process. Coordinate all aspects of large, complex projects involving cross-functional and IT disciplines; coordinate projects with other on-going efforts. Identify and anticipate risks and issues; facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation. Partner with business and IT to manage scope for releases associated with projects.
BS or BA in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field is required. Masters degree a plus. PMP Certification a plus. 10+ years total work experience with 7+ years project management experience. Team management experience of project teams of up to 20 people. Experience leading PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system implementations across multiple product teams at a large manufacturer. Expert at partnering with business leads to harmonize processes across brands and product lines. Experience creating project plans plan and implementing global PLM solutions to meet brand objectives. Experience integrating multiple factories and material suppliers to enable efficient flow of product data that results in annual savings. Expert at partnering with vendors to define, develop and implement industry solutions and a centralized platform for Marketing, Design, Product Development, Planning and Costing that enables collaboration with our supply chain partners. Thorough knowledge of program structuring and work planning (using tools such as MS Project). Domestic Travel, International Travel possible. Positive attitude and ability to build strong relationships within the company and with external partners. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels. Fosters and builds a collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders. Ability to challenge the various stakeholders involved in a project – meets internal and external customer expectations; delivers upon commitments. Expert in IT financial management and organizational change management. Expert in project management, IT governance formulation, and team management. Excellent knowledge of IT risk management, IT standards and policies formulation. Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs. Deals with problems as they arise, focusing energy and resources on those situations until resolved; identifies new opportunities and takes action; takes on new responsibilities when needed. The ability to foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines. Ability to Manage the scope change process and issue identification/resolution with all stakeholders.
