Supervise all activities within the logistics department supporting the inbound and outbound transportation for business units; oversee carrier performance and costs with attention to on-time delivery, freight auditing, over/short/damage claims, and billing and system integration; Oversee export admin team in support of meeting service, cost, and compliance expectations; regularly reports on service and cost trends as well as recommendations to improve on both. Oversight for carrier performance and costs on time delivery, administer freight auditing system, oversee over short / damage/claims, billing and system integration; Oversee export admin team in support of meeting service, cost, and compliance expectations; monitor carrier charges to meet agreed upon contracts, working with Acushnet’s freight audit and payment provider to properly code, review, and troubleshoot any issues with invoicing. Oversee transportation admin team in support of meeting service, cost, and compliance expectations; regularly reports on service and cost trends as well as recommendations to improve on both; Responsible for training and motivating staff, scheduling, delegating work assignments, monitoring individual and group performance to achieve high levels of efficiency and achievement. Assist in developing Carrier/3 rd party logistics provider relationships; review new or expanded networks to support further business growth. Report budget performance against department operating and Transportation budgets; Provide monthly and periodic transportation business review package to Manager, Integrated Logistics to bring full visibility to the state of our business and opportunities. Support distribution operations organization in optimizing utilization of ERP/ WMS routing logic to achieve desired business objectives. Propose business cases for improvements in systems or process controls that may add efficiency or delivery improvement enhancement for the company. Work with IT as distribution operations representative on systems and process integration testing, internal and external, among Acushnet Company, Carriers, and/or 3rd party logistics providers. Provide special project support to urgent or critical complex freight/transport solutions, internal and external, for the regular shipping of orders and special projects. Support cross functional analysis and modeling to improve service delivery performance.
Bachelors Degree required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics analyst role; Experience in export shipping preferred. Standing or Sitting for extended periods of time; limited travel expected to other facilities. Experience in parcel/LTL contracts and invoice auditing, Excel analysis, Cognos Reporting, or other Business Intelligence tools required; Experience in WMS, TMS, ERP preferred.
