We are looking to identify a 3rd Shift Team Leader who will play an important role in the day to day operations of our Custom Ball Plant.  You will ensure quality, safety and productivity by establishing goals and meeting operational objectives.  You will mentor and coach your direct reports, collaborate with the other shift leads and management to ensure shift/facility and company goals are met.  You are a champion of change and an advocate for a positive work environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Ensure that quality, safety, productivity and cost improvement efforts are met by establishing shift goals and maintain team focus, capitalize on associates’ skills, abilities, and differences to implement a continuous improvement manufacturing strategy.  Responsible for implementing manufacturing objectives, including monitoring of raw materials, staffing & controlling levels of work in process/ inventory to optimize machine utilization & minimize operating cost.  Coordinate, coach, and facilitate team members in meeting quality, production, material usage, cost standards and goals of the shift and plant.  Responsible for monitoring the status of orders; processing these according to dates. Troubleshoot & fix problem orders to guarantee on-time delivery. (Document issues associated w/ AGS) Coordinate communication between shifts & teams regarding production requirements, new product or process requirements/implementation and equipment maintenance.  Select associates, administer employment/wage policies, safety, health, & attendance standards.  Monitor and evaluate team and individual performance.  Train associates in various quality improvement activities; facilitate spontaneous problem solving sessions.  Ensure obstacles are eliminated to empower associates to pursue improvement proposals.  Establish, monitor and model team norms, quality communication and conflict resolutions.    Ensure effective training/certification and integration of new associates. Recognize/reward accomplishments.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one year of supervisory/leadership experience required. Associate’s Degree and a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience required and two years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred. A High School Diploma and five years of manufacturing experience required and two years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or groups of individuals and work effectively with others. Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities. Must have history of involvement in training, and continuous improvement initiatives.  Must have effective written, verbal communication skills. AGS/Microsoft Office Applications experience.
