In this position, the incumbent, under general direction, will be responsible for performing incoming inspections of putters and preparing for customization and/or restorations. The incumbent will validate quality of work performed, prepare for outside processing and control inventory of grips and head covers to include receiving, storing, and tracking of levels. This position will be responsible for inspecting, numbering and logging incoming putters, interacting with Customer Service regarding returns and discrepancies, identifying any requests that cannot be completed due to limitations on restoration or customizations and pre-sorting and staging putters by work to be performed. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing the order and verifying putter measurements including length, loft, and lie and will be responsible for creating work order mapping for the shop, to include a detailed layout of what work needs to be done on the putter. This position will be responsible for performing quality checks on grinding and other work performed, and verifying that the work order is completed correctly before the putter is sent for outside processing (plating). The incumbent will enter inventory data into MS Excel, restock components and will assist in backing up for the Shipping Clerk and special projects.
Qualifications that Acushnet Company looks for in this position would be a High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have an understanding of Scotty Cameron putters, components, customization and restoration.
