Sales/Use Tax Accountant: Fairhaven
The position is responsible for assisting with the day to day activities of Acushnet Company’s sales/use tax compliance in a multi-state manufacturing environment. This includes ensuring compliance with sales and use tax laws, managing the preparation of sales and use tax returns for all jurisdictions, providing information to and resolving disputes with auditors from taxing jurisdictions. Filing of all state sales/use tax returns; including return preparation, wire and check request creation, certified mail maintenance.
Assist with state sales/use tax audits. Research and develop responses to audit issues as assigned.
Analyze and import monthly tax files for all divisions into the Vertex application.
Review the reconciliation of sales/use tax general ledger accounts. This includes assisting Manager with the detailed a/p review.

In this position the incumbent will be primarily be responsible for preparing and filing US trademark applications and instructing foreign associates to file foreign trademark applications; preparation of supporting documents, including powers of attorney, renewals, statutory declarations, legalization of documents and office actions. Conduct and analyze US and foreign trademark searches; evaluate outside search reports and provide initial advice on availability of proposed mark; investigations into third party use of the proposed mark; prepare report with findings. Maintain trademark docketing system and generate reports as needed. Review and analyze of Official Gazette and foreign watch notices; review domain name watch notices; assist in domain name registrations; provide backup for advertising and promotional review. In this position the incumbent will be primarily using Unigraphics to conduct a wide variety of complex design tasks for the creation/production of new golf club designs, prototypes, and/or fixturing and tooling.
In addition, the incumbent will generate Models and Samples as well as produce new models/concepts and refine existing models/concepts using a variety of techniques, including computer graphics/design/CAD generation. In this role the incumbent will integrate Industrial Design Team sketches and models by using Unigraphics software along with utilizing the highest level of CAD skills and problem solving to create a complete parametric model.
