This includes ensuring compliance with sales and use tax laws, managing the preparation of sales and use tax returns for all jurisdictions, providing information to and resolving disputes with auditors from taxing jurisdictions.  Filing of all state sales/use tax returns; including return preparation, wire and check request creation, certified mail maintenance.  Assist with state sales/use tax audits. Research and develop responses to audit issues as assigned.  Assist with initial M3/Vertex automation project as well as the ongoing maintenance of the system after go-live.  Analyze and import monthly tax files for all divisions into the Vertex application.  Review the reconciliation of sales/use tax general ledger accounts.
