Last month, Acushnet’s family of brands – Titleist, FootJoy, Vokey, Scotty Cameron, Kjus and Links & Kings – came together to support our community with the contribution of 15 percent of online sales and the COVID-19 Relief Charity Golf Auction and Sweepstakes.
Putting together the auction and sweepstakes took significant collaboration across all brands, as well as the Tour Leadership team.
“More than thirty people from across all brands worked together coordinating this initiative with our network of players, agents and partners,” said Chris Garrett, Director of Consumer Marketing, FootJoy.
Jeremy Stone, Director of Marketing, Vokey Wedges was the team’s conduit to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds.
“We knew with the access we had to our brand ambassadors that we could create some pretty fantastic experiences (for the auction) and expand our footprint of philanthropic activities,” said Stone.
During a time with so much negative news related to the pandemic, associates commented that it felt great to contribute in a positive way to the community.
“Working on this project was very rewarding,” said Tom Gavriluk, Director of Digital Strategy, Titleist. “What was best for me was how I could communicate it back to my team during a time when there wasn’t a lot of good news. It was great to show them the value of their work and what we were contributing as a company.”
Jasmine Evers, Executive Assistant at KJUS North America, added, “It was an amazing experience to be part of something so big.”
One hundred percent of all proceeds will be distributed to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy COVID-19 Response Fund; the United Way of Greater New Bedford and San Diego County – the communities in which the majority of our U.S. associates live and work; and, following the lead of the PGA of America and other golf organizations, the Golf Emergency Relief Fund.
