Responsibilities: Provide, develop, and maintain documentation packages including CAD drawings, PLC programs, change notices, operating manuals, and maintenance manuals. Install and debug machinery and implement modifications. Support electrical and mechanical aspects of new equipment installations and relocation of existing equipment in 24/7 manufacturing operation. Apply state of the art electrical and electronic technology in new and existing manufacturing equipment for production of golf ball products. Work with members of Acushnet Company to design equipment, control measurement techniques, data collection or power distribution for new and existing equipment. Lead projects with minimal direction in a team or individual environment. Assist in training maintenance and operations personnel. Manufacture parts and or wiring of equipment assemblies. Some travel may be required to support other locations, attend trade shows, seminars, training and educational events. Other duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, familiarity with a broad range of PLC’s and other programmable devices, HMI, robots and automation. Knowledge of six sigma, SPC, and lean manufacturing concepts tools and methods. Experience with a controls engineering environment, design and installation of control systems including data collection systems and networking. Demonstrate ability to work and succeed in a team environment, ability to train others, facilitate teams, and communicate verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of machine vision systems and National Electrical Codes are a plus. Must be able to be present in the manufacturing environment on a regular basis for extended periods of time and is therefore subject to normal exposures to dust, heat, chemicals, and noise that is present in the manufacturing environment. Must pass all Health Services testing requirement for this position. Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
